What I’ve come to realize is that for many people, change can be a little scary. So much so, that it can prevent people from taking action to improve their life. It doesn’t have to be this way, though. Being in the health and wellness industry, I am always talking to people about change. I hear it all the time “My doctor told me I need to change my diet to improve my health, I need to change my workout regime to drop some weight, I need to change my water intake amount…” To help my clients with change, I challenge them to start with small changes. For instance, I challenged a client to just drink only water for the weekend – no soda, no juices, and especially no Kool-Aid. When we talked on Monday, she had met my challenge and was surprised how easy it was to follow through. I told her small changes are always easy and that small changes can become habits, which become lifestyle changes and before you know it – a small change has improved your life and overall health!
