I woke up this morning thinking about my friends. I got a call yesterday from one of my Battle Buddies, he was just checking up on me seeing how I was doing. He knows I’ve been working hard and just wanted to make sure I was doing ok. I got to thinking about all the friends I have made during my military career, and how they mean so much to me.
How I could call on them for anything. I remember when I had Jaida and my husband was deployed, he actually missed the whole pregnancy birth and first 4 months of her life but I digress. I called on my friend because I was exhausted and just need a good nights sleep. She cam from Kansas to stay with me a few days and help me out. She not only kept me company but she allowed me to get some good sleep. So much so that I woke up in a panic wondering where my baby was!! I realized Jaida was resting in the loving arms of my #BattleBuddy
Friends are incredible we can go months without speaking but when we get on that phone to catch up it’s like we never even miss a beat. like we just spoke yesterday. Giving updates about the kids, our lives, our struggles, our aches and pains, etc. It’s amazing. I think it’s because we speak from our hearts. We allow our Battle Buddies to dwell in our most sacred space – friendship.
Continue to cherish those who are close to you. You will find that this is when you are at your best. This is the energy that fuels your souls. Call your Battle Buddy today and catch up!
